When I was seven I stumbled on an old digital point and shoot camera that belonged to my parents, from that moment on I began cultivating a deep passion for storytelling through photography and film. Additionally to this, being raised in spaces engaged with community organising and social and environmental justice, I grew an interest in exploring these issues through my creative pursuits. Now, as a photographer, filmmaker and multi-media producer I use my practice to uplift stories and narratives in the hope of creating a positive change in the world.
My creative practices have always come hand in hand with my organising work. After studying one year of a Visual Anthropology degree at Goldsmiths, University of London, I deferred my studies to take on a full time role in the climate justice movement. Initially working to mobilised young people within Extinction Rebellion and the School/ Youth Strike movement, before going onto fulfil a number of different roles within organisations and campaigns on local, national and international scales.
In the time since I have worked in a freelance capacity coordinating and leading on numerous grassroots and community based campaigns, documenting and producing multimedia content for NGO's and charities, participating in frontline environmental defence and collaborating with communities from India to North America. All the while I have used my visual practices to explore and tell the stories that are most important to me.
